I’m sure we can all agree that living in clean surroundings is a better way to enjoy life.

Were you aware that maintaining a clean and orderly home helps you to maintain better focus as you move throughout your day trying to get things done?

Our homes and how we maintain them reflect who we are, our personal style and shows what we value.

Living in a cluttered and unclean home takes up a lot of unnecessary psychic space.

By simply giving your house a deep clean and then doing things to maintain it will make you feel so much better.

In addition to the awesome feeling you’ll have when you’re done, you’ll also feel a wonderful sense of fulfillment and achievement as well.

But we must warn you that cleaning your house is a two-prong approach because after you’ve cleaned it up you’ve got to do your best to keep it clean.

Deep cleaning is not an everyday thing but maintaining a clean home once you’re done is an all the time thing.

3 Rules for Maintaining a Clean Home

So here are just a few things to keep in mind once you’ve knocked out the hardest chores:

  1. Continuously declutter your living space throughout your home. Honestly, if you haven’t used something in 6 months do you really need to continue to hold on to it?
  2. Enlist the help of all the family members in your house. Remind them that there’s a place for everything and everything should be in its place.
  3. Avoid procrastination when it comes to cleaning. Simply put, when you make a mess clean it up rather than deferring it to some later date.
