Invigorated Living Premium Alkaline Water Pitcher Review

Invigorated Living Premium Alkaline Water Pitcher Review

Today we continue our reviews of top NSF water filters. Remember that we are reviewing the top under the sink filters, faucet attached filters, and dispenser or pitcher style filters.

The Invigorated Living Premium Alkaline Water Pitcher is an alkaline water pitcher as the name suggests but it doesn’t just hold water it filters and alkalizes the water.

It’s going to help eliminate the chlorine, sediment, improve the taste and get rid of the odor in your water.

What is Alkaline Water?

You may have heard of alkaline water but may not know what it is. Alkaline water is anything with a pH above 7 and anything below 7 is acidic.

Water has a neutral pH by nature but the municipal treatment process and environmental pressures only increase its acidity which is then passed on to our bodies when we drink it.

Figure into the equation that most Americans consume almost twice as much soda as water and subsist on a diet that is best described as substandard.

This helps to increase the already high levels of acid in the body. This results in a condition known as acidosis which may lead to conditions of severe dehydration.

No disease can live in an alkaline environment but it thrives in an acidic environment so it is a logical assumption that by restoring the body to an alkaline state we can regain control of our health.

The Benefits of Bringing the Body into a Postive pH Level

When we drink alkaline water and bring it into the body it helps to restore the alkalinity in our body while balancing our pH level.

As our bodies get to the alkaline environment, some of the benefits are that we experience increased energy, clearer skin, and more regularity with our stool just to name a few.

Premium Alkaline Water Pitcher Ionizer

The most effective way to achieve alkalinity is by drinking water that has been restructured, turning acidic dead water into alkaline living water.

What this premium alkaline water pitcher does is make it convenient for you to have alkaline and filtered water at the same time.

Let’s face it if you’re drinking tap water you’re probably drinking a lot of chemicals and if you’re on a well then you’re are drinking a ton of sediment among other things.

The Good

  • Helps to remove heavy metals, chlorine, chloramines, fluoride, other toxins, and pollutants.
  • Help increase essential minerals like iron, zinc, and calcium.
  • It’s BPA Free. BPA (bisphenol-A) is a potentially toxic estrogen-mimicking compound used to make plastic products that have been closely linked to breast cancer, early puberty, infertility, and other diseases.
  • The pitcher is made of food grade ABS and AS materials.
  • Conveniently fits into most refrigerators and available in multiple colors.
  • The pitcher’s bottom has a non-slip rubber design that aids with stability.
  • Holds 118 ounces of water which is a little less than 1 gallon or about 12 cups of water.
  • Each filter yields about 264 gallons of filtered water.
  • Filter comes with a digital gauge that alerts you when the filter needs to be replaced.
  • Water is filtered very quickly once inside the pitcher, usually less than 30 seconds.

The Bad

  • Users report that the filter often doesn’t fit properly, pour spout has a bad design and pitcher’s top doesn’t fit snug enough.
  • You will need to purchase a tester separately to test the pH level of the water.
  • The design of the pitcher has major flaws and many users report that the pitcher stops working properly after a few months.
  • Water filter replacements are $20 each if you only buy the 1-pack and $50 for the 3-Pack variety. That may a bit expensive for many people since the pitcher itself only costs $60.

Final Thoughts

From our research the filtered water from the Invigorated Living Premium Alkaline Water Pitcher tastes great, raises the alkalinity in water and filter the water fast.

However, considering the design flaws, the life expectancy of the pitcher, the replacement filter’s price and frequency of replacement, and the absence of good customer support we cannot recommend this water filter.

Having a water pitcher that can provide you with natural tasting high pH level drinking water is a lot better for you than drinking bottled water but there are better pitchers on the market.

We will certainly be reviewing many of the better brands in our ongoing water filter devices series.
